Today, she\u2019ll explain Growlers, in Virginia, with the new executive order changing the approved containers for refilling Growlers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pour\nyourself a drink; you\u2019re going to need it!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the pandemic, the rules are changing, rapidly. Subscribe to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/channel\/UCjRMye0r6bA09lCMLHt2QvA\">YouTube channel<\/a> for the latest news about ABC regulations and changes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before\nthe executive order, in the state of Virginia, as a licensee, there were restrictions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Wine could be refilled into a 64 oz container. <\/li><li>Beer could be refilled into a 128 oz container. <\/li><li>They have to be refillable containers (glass,\nceramic or metal and they must be reusable). <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>During\nthis pandemic, however, according to the new executive order, it has been\nchanged to allow for the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Pet, plastic growler bottles and pet, plastic bottles\nare now allowed (with a maximum size of 64 oz.).<\/li><li>Swing-top bottle (maximum size 750 mil.).<\/li><li>Flip-top (maximum size 32 oz.).<\/li><li>Remember, most importantly, that all recipients\nof delivery items must be ID\u2019d and must be at least 21 years of age to be able\nto take those products from you. <\/li><li>When the executive order is over, you won\u2019t be\nable to serve without the correct off-premises license, but during this\nexecutive order, if you are licensed to sell and serve on premises, you are\nallowed to sell ToGo or Deliver. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>During this executive order, because of COVID-19, restrictions have been lifted and licensees can now serve, off premises, with no additional licensing. If you want to continue serving off premises, after the executive order has expired, <a href=\"https:\/\/vaabc.com\/#contacts\">reach out<\/a> and we\u2019ll get you licensed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\nhttps:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=fwenl-aMQY4&#038;t=2s\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>One final thought while we are discussing containers &#8211; there have always been restrictions on sizes of drinks and containers on the table in a restaurant. Now, there are changes of the sizes of the containers that are brought to the table (when the executive order is lifted and patrons can visit your restaurant, again, of course): <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>A wine or beer carafe or decanter can be no more than 51 oz.<\/li><li>You can serve mixed-beverage in a pitcher (has to be an actual pitcher&nbsp; &#8212; it cannot be a fishbowl or such). This mixed-beverage pitcher can be a maximum of 32 oz and must be shared by 2 people. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>It is ABC Consulting\u2019s first priority to make sure that our clients make as much money as possible, while still staying in compliance and adhering to the VA ABC Authority&#8217;s guidelines.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Expect that ABC Consulting will be the first to let you know of any changes that affect your business.
