{"id":16467,"date":"2020-06-20T14:00:00","date_gmt":"2020-06-20T14:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vaabc.com\/blog\/?p=16467"},"modified":"2022-09-13T03:05:07","modified_gmt":"2022-09-13T03:05:07","slug":"phase-two-for-virginia-restaurants","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vaabc.com\/blog\/phase-two-for-virginia-restaurants\/","title":{"rendered":"Phase Two for Virginia Restaurants"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>PHASE 2 for RESTAURANT &amp; BEVERAGE SERVICES (Restaurants, Dining Establishments, Food Courts, Breweries, Cideries, Mobile Units (food trucks), Distilleries, Wineries, and Tasting Rooms) have to implement the following mandatory requirements!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"566\" src=\"https:\/\/vaabc.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/gov-northam3-no-mask.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-17574\" srcset=\"https:\/\/vaabc.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/gov-northam3-no-mask.png 800w, https:\/\/vaabc.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/gov-northam3-no-mask-300x212.png 300w, https:\/\/vaabc.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/gov-northam3-no-mask-768x543.png 768w, https:\/\/vaabc.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/gov-northam3-no-mask-600x425.png 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Post signage at the entrance that states that no one with a fever or symptoms of COVID-19, or known exposure to COVID-19 case in the prior 14 days, is permitted in the establishment <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Post signage to provide publish health reminders regarding physical distancing, gatherings, options for high risk individuals, &amp; staying home if sick. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Occupancy must be limited to no more than 50% occupancy load on the Certificate of Occupancy, if applicable, while maintaining a minimum of six feet of physical distancing between all individuals as much as possible. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Provide a minimum of six feet between parties at table.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>All parties, whether seated together or across multiple tables, must be limited to 50 patrons or less. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Do not seat multiple parties at any one table unless marked with six-foot divisions (such as tape). <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Bar seats and congregated areas of restaurants must be closed to patrons except for through traffic.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Non-bar seating in the bar area may be used for customers seating if a min. six feet is provided between parties at tables<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Keep game areas, dance floors, &amp; playgrounds closed.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>If live musicians are performing at an establishment, they must remain at least six feet from patrons &amp; staff<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Employees working in customer dining &amp; service areas are required to wear face coverings over their nose &amp; mouth. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Use single-use disposable menus (ex. paper) &amp; discard after each customer. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Reusable menus are not permitted. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Refilling food &amp; beverage containers, or implements brought in by customers, is not allowed. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Prior to each shift, employers should ask employees to self-check their temperature &amp; assess symptoms. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>No self-service of food (except beverages), including condiments. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Buffets must be staffed by servers. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>For self-service beverage areas, use beverage equipment designed to dispense by a contamination-free method.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Condiments must be removed from tables &amp; dispensed by employees upon the request of a customer.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Perform thorough cleaning &amp; disinfection of frequently contacted surfaces every 60 minutes, which include digital ordering devices, check presenters, self-service areas, tabletops, bathroom surfaces, &amp; other common surface areas.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Tabletops &amp; credit card\/bill folders must be disinfected between patrons.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Table resets must be done by an employee who has washed their hands with soap &amp; water for at least 20 seconds just prior to reset activities. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Patrons may wait in the lobby area for takeout &amp; seated dining provided that 6ft distance is maintained between parties.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Non-bar seating in the bar area may be used for customers seating if a min. six feet is provided between parties at tables.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>If tables are not movable, seat parties at least six feet apart. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Spacing must also allow for physical distancing from areas outside the facility\u2019s control.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Got Questions?
