How to Relocate your VA Skill Game<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

If you are watching this video, you are probably a distributer, an alcohol licensee or a truck stop \u2013 because alcohol licensees and truck stops are the only locations, in Virginia, where you can have a Skill Game. I have another video called How to Register Your Skill Game<\/a> and that video will go a little more into the background of how Skill Gaming came about, in Virginia. I recommend that you watch that video to learn about what happened, earlier 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you are watching this and you\u2019re a distributer, your games have already been registered with the VA ABC Authority (that registration was due by July 7, 2020) and you should have received your registration stickers that you should adhered to your Skill-Gaming machine by July 20, 2020. IF you haven\u2019t done it, please do that as soon as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is possible that now that your is registration done and you have your stickers on your machine, that you are noticing that your machine isn\u2019t doing as well in the location originally chosen. You\u2019d like to relocate the game. You are allowed to do that. In fact, as a distributer, you can relocate up to 20% of your Skill Game inventory in the first 60 days of registration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you are thinking about pulling a game or you don\u2019t want a game in a particular location or it needs repair, you need to take care of it, next week, BEFORE August. If it is in play or in a location, on August 1st<\/sup>, than you are subject to the $1,200 tax.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you want to pull a Skill Game out of service (and warehouse a machine for maintenance or repair), you are not subject to that $1,200 a month tax on that machine, but there is paperwork that has to be done on that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bottom line, if you plan to either relocate a machine or pull a game out of service, there is paperwork to be done and ABC Consulting can help you with the paperwork.  Remember, if you keep a Skill Game at a location, even for one day, you are going to be subject to tax. The tax on the machine is $1,200 and the July tax is due August 20, 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is pertinent that you understand: if you pull a machine out for maintenance and repairs, your Skill Game isn\u2019t subject to the $1,200 tax and DOESN\u2019T count towards your 20% relocation.  Once you\u2019re ready to put it back in a NEW location, it will count towards your relocation percentage. If you put it back to the original location, you\u2019ll start a new month of tax, so place it, at a time of the month that will best serve your business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let\u2019s say July 1st<\/sup> starts your 60 days of being able to relocate 20% of your games. In 60 days, you\u2019ll be able to start another 60-day period of being able to relocate 20% of your registered Skill Game inventory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
