We can help you brainstorm, if you need a friendly business coach &#8211; but bottom line: ABC Consulting can help with a Tasting License \u2013 a one-day alcohol license at your business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Samples may be given OR sold.<\/li><li>Tickets to the tasting\/event may be sold in advance.<\/li><li>This event can be private OR open to the public.<\/li><li>No more than 4 tastings licenses, annually.<\/li><li>Must have someone designated to educate the public of the product being tasted.&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Your business can apply for this license on ABC Consulting\u2019s website by choosing \u201cIndividual\u201d and indicate &#8220;Tasting License&#8221; in the type of event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"612\" height=\"792\" src=\"https:\/\/vaabc.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/Tasting-License-Kelly-Walker-version.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-17508\" srcset=\"https:\/\/vaabc.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/Tasting-License-Kelly-Walker-version.jpg 612w, https:\/\/vaabc.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/Tasting-License-Kelly-Walker-version-232x300.jpg 232w, https:\/\/vaabc.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/Tasting-License-Kelly-Walker-version-600x776.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 612px) 100vw, 612px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>What kind of business is the \u201cTasting License\u201d perfect for?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>a business hosting a VIP sale<\/li><li>a business holding a grand opening<\/li><li>a nail salon hosting a special \u201cLadies Night\u201d<\/li><li>an upscale retail store hosting a \u201cLadies Night\u201d<\/li><li>a restaurant that doesn&#8217;t have an alcohol license, but wishes to offer a special tasting for a special occasion.<\/li><li>a Bed &amp; Breakfast that doesn\u2019t already have a Retail B&amp;B License, hosting a special event<\/li><li>or a 3<sup>rd<\/sup> party wanting to have an event at your B&amp;B in an unlicensed area.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>4.1-221.1. Limitation of&nbsp;tasting&nbsp;licenses.<\/strong> Samples of alcoholic beverages given or sold by a&nbsp;licensee shall not exceed two ounces per person of each product&nbsp;tasted, provided that (i) in the case of wine or beer, no more than four products shall be offered or (ii) in the case of spirits, no more than two products shall be offered.&nbsp;Tasting&nbsp;licenses for mixed beverages shall only be issued for events to be held in localities which have approved the sale of mixed beverages pursuant to \u00a7&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/law.lis.virginia.gov\/vacode\/4.1-124\/\" target=\"_blank\">4.1-124<\/a>. No&nbsp;license&nbsp;shall be issued to any person to whom issuance of a retail&nbsp;license&nbsp;is prohibited. No more than four&nbsp;tasting&nbsp;licenses annually shall be issued to any person. The provisions of this section shall not apply to&nbsp;tastings conducted pursuant to \u00a7&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/law.lis.virginia.gov\/vacode\/4.1-201.1\/\" target=\"_blank\">4.1-201.1<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As you fill out the on-line application, you may get confused or miss a blank\u2026.that happens.
