Do you have to have a champagne toast? Do you have to have a\nsignature drink? Do you have to serve alcohol, if you don&#8217;t drink? <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Well&#8230;.most people expect to have\nsomething at a party &#8211; especially because they are celebrating a momentous\noccasion &#8211; a once-in-a-lifetime occasion and there are ways to make it easier\nand less expensive and less stressful, for you: the blushing bride and groom!\nHere is the short list of alcohol etiquette: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>If you are considering a cash bar,\ndon&#8217;t. It is your party and you invited them. Offer one thing to drink and when\nthat is &#8220;gone,&#8221; make sure there is a backup (a bar that is open and\nserving in the building) plan.<\/li><li>Sticking to beer &amp; wine, only,\ndefinitely saves money. Skip the hard stuff.<\/li><li>Fill champagne glasses 1\/3 full.\n(Many of these will remain on the table untouched, anyway; no sense throwing\naway money)<\/li><li>Or don&#8217;t use champagne &#8211; use a\nbubbly wine, instead.<\/li><li>Sticking to ONE drink (a signature\ncocktail that means something to you and your fianc\u00e9 or to the area) definitely\nsaves money (and bartender costs). <\/li><li>Don&#8217;t let your guests wait in line\nfor a drink &#8211; but use this equation: one bar and two bartenders for every 100\nguests to make sure you aren&#8217;t spending too much on staff standing around. And\nif you do use more than one bar &#8211; put them on opposite sides of the room in\nplain sight. <\/li><li>If you don&#8217;t drink (and aren&#8217;t\nopposed to drinking), please offer your guests the ability to celebrate. <\/li><li>If you don&#8217;t drink and are opposed\nto it &#8211; skip it but offer something gimmicky: specialty sodas or flavored\nwaters or offer a coffee bar with all the toppings: syrups, creams, etc.,\ninstead. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>One thing you have to do, if you are serving alcohol at your wedding is make sure you are above the law.
