Working in a job you don’t love can take a toll, mentally. Your Sunday nights become filled with dread as you anticipate another Monday getting closer. On the flip side, I work in a profession that I love (truly LOVE!) and it fills my life with joy and energy – and as a result, I have a willingness to work long days and frequently have super-busy weeks. This is my life and I have literally been “doing” ABC since I was a teenager, as an underage buyer. Now, I lead a team of subject-knowledge experts who are true professionals, as well as positive and supportive human beings, working with me! And the experience we have, collectively, gets the job done (licensing events, day spas, B&B’s, restaurants and brides) — on a daily basis!
Thankfully, I get an opportunity to TELL how much passion I have for my work when I am asked to speak. And I am often asked to speak or train–on-site and in-person. I always say “YES!” I love for an opportunity to speak to people about what I do, how I can help them and what is important for them to know. And I have STORIES!! I have watched successful businesses grapple with horrific experiences and heard brides in a panic because something went wrong, at the last minute with a license she thought was on its way, before she found her way to us!
For 10 years, ABC Consulting has been offering a complete line of education and consulting services and with my own years of experience in the business and as the CEO of ABC Consulting, I continue to gain skills, experiences and connections to be able to create an engaging, entertaining “Have To’s” seminar! And I got to do just that – on October 16, 2019, with ILEA Hampton Roads, at New Realm Brewing at the Annual ILEA Hampton Roads Costume Party! There was great food and great conversation as well as allowing all guests to tap into our tips about ABC permits and licensing. ABC Consulting’s own Angela and Valerie assisted and Valerie even sported their Halloween attire! Here are a couple highlights from the evening 😀
