George Sewell brings great experience to the ABC Consulting team. After acquiring a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice and Private Security at East Tennessee State University in 1981, he joined the Wise Police Department as a Police Officer, receiving a promotion to Sergeant, by 1986. He remained with the Wise Police Department for 20 years. He joined The Virginia Dept. of Alcoholic Beverage Control in 2002 as a Special Agent in Richmond, VA. In 2004, George was transferred to the Abingdon office. Then, in 2013, George was hired part-time as a United States FDA Inspector for tobacco products, traveling throughout Southwest Virginia.
George Sewell retired in August of 2018 from The Virginia Dept. of Alcoholic Beverage Control. He currently enjoys fishing and kayaking on weekends and resides in Wytheville, Virginia, with his wife, Barbara, and daughter, Meagan Lynn. We are proud to have experienced professionals like George on staff, at ABC Consulting.
