What happens when an underage buyer presents their ID?
- UAB’s present their valid Identification (indicating they are underage).
- UAB’s dress and look their true age (they don’t have facial hair, they don’t wear makeup – they don’t use tricks to get you to sell to them)
- Many licensees fail this test. If you fail and sell alcohol? Your seller is issued a summons when convicted resulting in a class 1 M (selling to person under 21). AND, you, the licensee, are also charged civilly and imposed a civil penalty ranging from $2,000-5,000 (in some cases this results in license suspension and revocation of your license).
