This weekend, you can increase your sales a little bit and continue to celebrate fall for an hour longer, because of Daylight Savings Time. We FALL back (remember the clocks SPRING forward during the spring) an hour tonight! While you are celebrating Saturday night, and it reaches 2am (early Sunday morning), you can FALL BACK an hour, changing the clock to 1am to serve alcohol for another hour! And then you can continue to celebrating the weekend and fall and Saturday night or whatever it is you are celebrating. I am looking forward to an extra hour of sleep, tomorrow morning. That is what I am celebrating this November weekend. But, instead, I will be woken by obnoxious animal protests – they are going to want to be fed regardless of what the clocks say.

Enjoy your weekend; stay compliant, and reach out if you need to. In fact, tell me what you are doing this weekend or tell me where you are from in the comments – cheers!

ABC Consulting was created in 2009 after Crystal Stump’s retirement from the VA Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control Enforcement Division. Since then, her brainchild, ABC Consulting, has grown into a successful team of former VA ABC Special Agents, working for alcohol licensees across Virginia and other states. There is also former Alcohol Tobacco Tax and Trade (known as TTB) agents and inspectors and the team – they all work alongside you and your business for seamless licensing, compliance and training.

Our goal is to educate the ABC community with these videos. There is a lot of misinformation and a lot of missing information and that is what these videos (and ABC Consulting) try to do – educate and inform about alcohol compliance.
