One of ABC Consulting’s customers, Patch Brewing Company washeading toward their grand opening (September 18, 2021) and all hands were on deck. A very tragic and unfortunate event happened to wife of one of the brewers. Charlie Anne Xavier was using a sander while working on a project for the opening and she dropped the sander. A spark landed and she was engulfed in flames. Thank God she was able to stop, drop and roll, but not until she suffered burns on 85% of her body. She was life flighted to VCU burn clinic where she started fighting for her life.
André, her husband, said the couple’s two children — ages four years and nine months — have given their mother a reason to fight for her life. “I can’t imagine the pain my wife’s feeling and that breaks my heart to think about her pain,” André said. “It also breaks my heart to think about the loss she’s going to experience in terms of her life with her children.” We are speechless. At times like these, we lift up and support as best as we know how – through good thoughts, prayers and sharing our love for our neighbors and friends and businesses that we support. It has been almost a month since Charlie returned home, and things are starting to fall in place. Charlie’s mobility is slowly improving, and with that comes new opportunities. We are excited about the possibility of a vertical stair lift with that Charlie will be able to go into our boy’s rooms and put them to bed and also visit her bedroom upstairs; I know it may sound elementary, but it is an incredible step for us, and we are so grateful for your generosity, your donations is what made possible for Charlie to return home with the house modifications, we are forever grateful to you! Very soon, Charlie will be celebrating her first Burnaversary, and I am praying that she will remain strong. September 10th is the day our life as we knew it ended. Thank you, and May God Bless you!
